Death of an investor

If you wish to report the death of an account holder then we ask you to contact the Cheshire in one of the following ways.

• Visit your local branch with the Death Certificate (original or certified copy) and a member of staff will be able to help.
• Post the Death Certificate (original or certified copy) and Grant of Probate with a covering letter. In the covering letter please state any account information if known. Please use the address below:

• If you have requested date of death figures or the closure of the account at the time of registering the death, the Cheshire will contact you to advise what you need to do in order to release money from the account.
• Alternatively you can call our Customer Contact Centre on 0845 755 0555* where a member of staff will be able to assist you in this matter.

Death of a mortgage holder

If you wish to report the death of a mortgage holder then please either:

• Call our customer contact centre on 0845 755 0555*.
• Visit your local branch with the Death Certificate (original or certified copy) and Grant of Probate and a member of staff will be able to help.
