Opening an account on behalf of a child

Adults can open Cheshire Building Society savings accounts on behalf of a child - with the exception of ISAs.

You must ensure that you read our general Savings Terms & Conditions and the product details of the account you wish to apply for before completing the application form.

Upon completion of your form please complete the details and post the form back to us with your signed personal cheque and relevant identification for both the applicant and trustee (in most instances a Current Passport or Birth Certificate will be sufficient to identify a child). You may also want to download and complete an R85 Form if your child is under 16 and qualifies for gross interest.

Make your cheques payable to Cheshire Building Society followed by the account holder’s name (e.g. Cheshire Building Society – John Smith).
