Payment of utilities and other bills

Tenant

During the tenancy you are responsible for the payment of gas, electricity, council tax, telephone, water (if metered), TV licence, and your own contents insurance.

Landlord

As landlord you continue to be responsible for paying the mortgage, associated life-policies, all utilities until commencement of tenancy and between lets, water rates (unless metered), building insurance, contents insurance (only if you've fully furnished the property) and any applicable management fees.
