Child Trust Fund

Have you received your £250 voucher?

Child Trust Fund (CTF) accounts are available for all eligible children born on or after 1 September 2002. To encourage the savings habit the government is kick starting these accounts with an initial payment of £250 in the form of a voucher sent shortly after you register for Child Benefit for your child.

Additional contributions can be made by family or friends up to the total of £1,200 a year, which could help the fund grow into a healthy asset for your child as they start adult life at 18.

At the Cheshire we recognise the importance of planning for your child's future. That's why we've teamed up with The Children's Mutual, which specialises in savings for children, to offer access to a stakeholder CTF account. As experts they're ideally placed to provide you with information on the options available and explain what this could mean to you and your child.

And as a special incentive to save additional amounts, you'll receive £20 of Mothercare vouchers if you apply for a Child Trust account through Cheshire Building Society and agree to make regular monthly contributions of £10 or more by Direct Debit.
