For Club Class applications, certain additional identification documents are required as follows:

• Public Listed Company (PLC)
• Local Authority
• Schools / Colleges / Universities

The Cheshire has access to electronic identity checks which will be utilised.  If, for any reason it is not possible to satisfactorily verify the identity of the entity through this method the Cheshire may request documentary identification.

Church / Religious Body
One of the following documents is required:

• General Register Office (GRO) certificate; or
• Confirmation through HMRC; or
• Confirmation through the relevant headquarters or regional organisation of the denomination / religion.

Sole Trader
One of the following documents is required:

• Documentation from HMRC which confirms the individual’s ownership of the trading name; or
• Documentation from the Sole Trader’s Accountant which confirms the individual’s ownership of the trading name; or
• Documentation from the Sole Trader’s existing Banker which confirms the individual’s ownership of the trading name.

Trust
Trust Deed.

Club / Society
One of the following documents is required:

• Constitution (or equivalent), or
• Opening the account via a cheque from an account in the Club/Society’s name.

Limited Company
One of the following documents is required:

• Certificate of Incorporation; or
• Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association

Partnership / Limited Liability Partnership
One of the following documents is required:

• Partnership Agreement; or
• Certificate of Incorporation; or
• Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association.

Post the completed application form and a personal cheque (make your cheques payable to Cheshire Building Society followed by the account holder’s name.  e.g. Cheshire Building Society – John Smith) to:
