Credit Crunch in Knutsford
29th May 2008
As the credit crunch continues to bite, Cheshire Building Society hopes to help Holmes Chapel and Knutsford consumers who are worried about how this will impact their finances. The Society, which has branches located at The Square in Holmes Chapel and King Street in Knutsford, is offering residents free financial reviews throughout the summer.
The Knutsford branch is holding an open evening offering free financial advice and the Holmes Chapel branch is holding a mortgage and property open evening along with its Cheshire Estate Agency team. Both open evenings will be held on Wednesday 11th June between 5:00 and 7:00 pm where individuals can receive free expert financial advice. The Society’s experienced advisers are available to discuss the full range of financial needs from mortgages to investments.
Cheshire Building Society’s Branch Manager for Holmes Chapel and Knutsford, Hilary McCaig, said: “Experts are predicting a rise in the cost of living, redundancies and insolvencies coupled with a property slump and short supply of credit. This will have an impact on people across the country, including those right here in Holmes Chapel and Knutsford.
“We are very much a part of the community and want to help our neighbours any way we can, particularly anyone who is having a difficult time at the moment.
“We talk to people every day and we know they are concerned about many different financial issues and how the credit crunch may affect businesses in the area. We want to let them know we are here to help them through.”
Anyone who would like more information can call into either branch, or telephone Holmes Chapel on 01477 537614 or Knutsford on 01565 652 237 and make an appointment with one of the Society’s experienced advisers.
