Mortgage Valuation report
This report is available for both Remortgages (where the estimated value is in excess of £750,000) and House Purchases.
What this report will do
It is prepared in accordance with guidelines laid down by the RICS. It differs from the Homebuyer Survey and Valuation report in that it is not designed to check the reasonableness of the purchase price or the need for repairs now or in the future. It does, however, evaluate the property to ensure its mortgage value can be maintained and gives a professional Surveyor’s overview of the current condition of the property.
No charge is made for House Purchase where the purchase price is below £750,000. Where the purchase price, (remortgage - estimated value) is in excess of £750,000 the Society will make a contribution of £500. The remainder is to be paid by the applicant when returning the mortgage application form.
